The moment his alarm went off, Akaashi was already up and turning it off. He stretched slowly in the early morning sun and rubbed sleep from his eyes. I slept well last night, he thought absently, running a hand through dark, tousled hair. Maybe because she stayed over with me?

He looked at you, sleeping comfortably and well in his bed. His alarm hadn't bothered you in the slightest.

    She's quite the sleeper.

Seeing that you were still conked out, he decided that he'd brush his teeth and start on breakfast for the both of you. Would she like it if I brought breakfast to her? Maybe she'll just come out on her own.

The plan was that he'd make your favorite breakfast and the smell would be enough to coax you out of bed without him having to wake you up. And normally, his plans always worked.

    Normally.

Somehow, though, you just always unwittingly threw a wrench into his plans and acted not accordingly to how he thought you would. But that was what he liked -- loved, even -- the most about you. You always kept him on his toes; there was never a dull moment with you.

As breakfast sat on the table, he listened quietly for any signs of life coming from his bedroom. Aside from the ticking of the clock in the kitchen, it was dead silent.

He called your name once and said that breakfast was ready.

    Still no response.

Padding quietly to the bedroom, he saw that you were cocooned in the blankets and snoring softly. Your alarm went off, and even then you continued to sleep right through it.

    He smiled helplessly. This woman...

Akaashi shut off the alarm and sat down on the edge of the bed. You had a nice sleeping face; there were red lines marked into your skin from the wrinkles of the sheets, and your face pudged up on the side you were sleeping on. You were too cute for words, he thought.

He warmed up his cold fingers before touching your face to move stray hairs away. "It's time to get up," he murmured softly.

You made a small noise and shrunk away from his fingers. "Five more minutes."

"I made breakfast already," he sighed. "Come on, get up."

You wormed back towards him and laid your head on his lap. "Can you cuddle with me for a little bit then?"

If Akaashi's head could explode, it probably would have by now from your innocent words. He hid his face with his hand in an attempt to control his growing embarrassment and elation. Oh, God, no, she's too cute.

Once he regained composure, he stated as calmly as he could, "Only for a little bit. But you have to get up soon because we have to go to Bokuto-san's practice wedding ceremony."

    "'Kay."

He slipped under the covers and wrapped you up in his arms nice and tight, succumbing to the warmth and comfort you effortlessly provided.

Both of you were almost late the practice wedding ceremony and Akaashi decided to sometimes never let you talk him into getting back in bed with you again.
